Brunel International is seeking an experienced SMP Superintendent FIFO to Papua New Guinea to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves overseeing critical construction activities within the Processing Plant scope, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. Job Descriptions 

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, the SMP Superintendent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all construction activities related to the SMP scope. This includes managing the contractor's work across two key stages:

- Stage 1: New ball mill conveyors, new crusher installation

- Stage 2: New flotation plant, concentrate handling facilities including a concentrate storage shed and shiploader

The role requires leading an owners' team comprising supervisors and engineers to ensure seamless project execution, adherence to schedule, and compliance with quality and safety standards. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving project progress and maintaining effective communication across all stakeholders.

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar leadership role within the mining or heavy industrial construction sector
  • Strong knowledge of Processing Plant construction, including ball mill conveyors, crushers, flotation plants, and concentrate handling systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams of supervisors and engineers
  • Experience working FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out), preferably in Papua New Guinea or similar remote locations
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safety standards and quality control
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with contractors and clients
  • Relevant trade or engineering qualifications and construction management certifications are highly regarded
  • Ability to adapt to challenging environments and work under pressure
