As the Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, managing supplier and subcontractor pricing, controlling project budgets, and supporting projects from pre-construction through to construction.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity take-offs for residential projects.
- Review plans, specifications and project documentation.
- Source and negotiate competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare and manage project budgets.
- Issue and manage purchase orders.
- Monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain estimating databases and current pricing.
- Liaise with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and procurement systems.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator within residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and pricing.
- Experience using estimating software such as Solo Assist, Databuild or similar.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
