Key Responsibilities
- Establish and monitor department performance for Safety, Quality, 5S and Productivity.
- Responsible for communicating daily production goals and reporting status to Production Manager.
- Take initiative to recognize areas of opportunity and resolve with appropriate action.
- Identify problems and work towards root cause elimination utilizing appropriate problem-solving methods.
- Collaborate with Production Manager and Engineering staff to troubleshoot production/design issues.
- Assist with the selection, orientation and training of new team members, working with Human Resources and Production Manager.
- Develop/maintain positive employee relations and resolution of employee issues and concerns.
- Conduct and prepare annual performance appraisals and individual development plans.
- Analyze data, investigate personnel issues, and collaborate with Human Resources and Operations leadership to identify and implement solutions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production floor.
- Managing team members timecards, tracking attendance, vacation time and overtime.
- Cooperate with all areas within the company to ensure overall company goals are met.
- Follow AGI's Code of Business Ethics and related compliance policies.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience in Production or Operations management in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of powder coating processes, application techniques, curing, and associated equipment.
- 3-5+ years of supervisory or management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in team leadership, employee coaching, process improvement, and production planning.
- Strong ability to read and interpret product blueprints and engineering specifications.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve production issues and equipment malfunctions.
- Proficient in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with employees, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficient using computers and various manufacturing and production software applications to track performance, plan schedules, and monitor quality control.
- Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety regulations relevant to powder coating and manufacturing operations.
