  • Approve design philosophies, methodologies, and key technical decisions.

  • Evaluate and approve deviations from engineering standards where required.

  • Oversee delivery across all project phases, including Pre-FEED, FEED, Detailed Engineering, and Project Management Consultancy (PMC).

  • Ensure rigorous execution of:

    • Topsides structures (process modules, living quarters, bridges).

    • Fixed jackets and substructures.

    • Floating systems (FPSO, semi-submersibles, and platforms).

    • Structural modeling, advanced finite element analysis, and weight engineering.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

  • Drive seamless integration and interface coordination with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Piping, E&I, Marine).

4. Resource & Capability Management

  • Plan, recruit, and manage offshore structural engineering resources across global offices.

  • Develop competency frameworks, succession plans, and structured training programs.

  • Build a high-performing global delivery team leveraging multi-location talent and execution centers.

  • Provide accurate manhour estimates, project scheduling inputs, technical execution strategies, and value engineering proposals.

  • Support business development and winning strategies for major offshore opportunities.

6. Quality Assurance & Technical Audits

  • Lead discipline audits, peer reviews, and technical health checks across live projects.

  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing, implementing, and sharing lessons learned.

  • Collaborate closely with Project Engineering Managers, Project Directors, clients, JV partners, fabrication yards, and construction teams.

  • Resolve complex engineering interfaces and technical disputes effectively.

8. Digital & Engineering Systems

  • Promote the adoption of advanced digital engineering workflow and 3D modeling practices.

  • Ensure effective use and licensing management of core structural analysis tools (e.g., SACS, SESAM, GeniE).

  • Maintain integrity, standardization, and consistency of engineering data across projects.

Key Deliverables

  • Structural engineering deliverables across the full project lifecycle (Pre-FEED to PMC).

  • Global department resourcing, forecasting, and competency development plans.

  • Discipline technical audit, quality compliance, and review reports.

  • Detailed proposal estimates, execution philosophies, and technical bid documentation.

  • Departmental continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing frameworks.
