Commissioning Lead (Telecoms / Electrical / Instrument / ICSS)
Key responsibilities
Develop and implement the commissioning strategy, plan, and schedule in line with project objectives.
Lead the commissioning team (engineers, supervisors, specialists, contractors), assign tasks, and manage performance.
Coordinate interfaces between construction, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and operations teams.
Oversee system and equipment pre-commissioning, cold commissioning, hot commissioning, and system integration tests (e.g., topside process, utilities, power, HVAC, firewater, ballast/ballast control, safety systems, cargo handling, marine systems).
Verify mechanical completion and punch-list closure; ensure commissioning readiness and witness testing.
Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and regulatory requirements; lead safety briefings and risk assessments.
Manage commissioning resources, materials, spares, tools, and specialized equipment.
Resolve technical and operational issues, escalate when required, and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation: procedures, checklists, test packs, reports, turnover certificates, and handover packages.
Liaise with client representatives, Operations, and third-party vendors during commissioning and start-up.
Track commissioning progress, report status, and contribute to commissioning close-out and lessons learned.
