We are seeking an experienced Document Control Manager to lead and govern document control functions across corporate and project environments. This role requires a strong practitioner of document control processes, combined with proven team leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

The successful candidate will be hands‑on, process‑driven, and experienced in managing document control teams supporting complex engineering and offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Document Control (DC) activities across the organisation and associated entities
  • Establish, implement, and maintain document control procedures and standards
  • Evaluate, assess, and optimise document management tools and systems
  • Ensure compliance with management systems within the Document Control team
  • Support projects in implementing document management procedures and workflows for internal use and for Clients, Contractors, and Suppliers
  • Develop and maintain documentation requirements for suppliers and contractors in collaboration with Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, and HSEQ teams
  • Supervise project managers and document controllers in establishing project‑specific document control routines during execution and operations
  • Ensure proper document handover from project phase to operations in accordance with defined requirements
  • Collaborate with IT and relevant stakeholders on the enhancement and utilisation of document management modules within the ERP system, ensuring data consistency, traceability, and compliance with internal standards
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Document Control team, ensuring appropriate resourcing, performance, and motivation

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Ideally 12–15 years of experience in document control, with significant exposure in a managerial or leadership role
  • Strong experience working with document management systems and tools within engineering, offshore, oil & gas, or related industries
  • Solid understanding of technical documentation requirements and document numbering/coding structures

  • Basic proficiency in project management principles
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage
