Our client, a leading manufacturer of molasses based supplements in the animal nutrition sector, is seeking a Sales Manager to join their small, successful team. Their experienced team work closely together to drive sales across the East Coast of Australia, supplying feed and supplements to the livestock industry.

The purpose of the role is to lead the continued development and execution of the sales and marketing strategy in Southern Australia for our client’s existing modified molasses, vegetable oil feeds and nutritional supplements as well as supporting the development of their dry feeds business moving forward.
Once onboard, the Sales Manager for the Southern Region will gain a detailed understanding of the pasture, feedmill and feedlot product range, allowing them to formulate a Territory Management Plan in each sector and drive sales from all plants.

Key responsibilities for this role include:Growing the number of customers using their services
Activating and supporting the existing network of resellers & distributors Developing strong cooperative relationships with key animal nutritionists
Building business opportunities within the sectorContinue to improve sales margins and volumes through active management including logistics
Working with the National Sales Manager to implement and drive the feedlot strategy and sales for Southern Australia
To be successful for this role, you will have prior a minimum of five years sales experience in the beef cattle or lamb industry, ideally with an understanding of Animal Nutrition.
You will ideally you will have prior experience managing the Southern regions of Australia such as VIC, Southern NSW and Tasmania.
Other important attributes include:Proven ability in closing sales and active lead generation
Territory management skills and previous experience managing customer accountsTrack record in following up on and converting new leads
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)Proven capability of working both autonomously and within small team
A proven track record of achieving sales targets using sound sales methodologies

This exciting role will suit a person who enjoys dealing directly with graziers and farmers. You will also be supporting distributors. You will be supported by internal teams such as formulation, nutrition and production teams to aid you in your success. You will be expected to travel to your customers by way of a company supplied vehicle, so a valid drivers license is a necessity.
You will be provided with a company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone and will be working with one of Australia’s well recognised players in the industry.
