We are seeking a Payroll Associate/ Accounting Administration for our client, a well reputable fast-growing organization based in Calgary. This a great opportunity to work in entrepreneurial environment and long-term career growth.

  • Reviewing and verifying time sheets
  • Processing bi-weekly payroll and electronic deposits
  • Verifying and processing expenses
  • Verifying contractor invoices against time sheets, and processing same
  • Calculating source deductions, ensuring compliance with payment schedules, reporting and other tax requirements, preparing and issuing T4s and T4 summaries
  • Preparing ROEs and submitting online
  • Staying current on federal, provincial and local financial requirements and legislation
  • Filing on a regular basis, electronic copy
  • Accounts Receivable: prepare and record bank deposits
  • Assisting with invoice preparation and distribution

Requirements

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Finance/Accounting Diploma in Finance/Accounting from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three to five years’ experience in payroll/bookkeeping/accounting
  • Strong intermediate to advanced level Excel skills and proficiency with MS Office
    • Navision and ADP an asset
    • Must have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
    • An energetic, driven self-starter that wants to grow with a company
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities and deadlines, flexible
    • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
    • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging work environment
    • Adherence to the highest ethical and professional standards
    • Ability to proactively and effectively react to difficult situations and changing business conditions
    • Ability to work independently and/or be a team player, as required under various circumstances
    • Passionate about contributing to a positive work environment and development of company culture
