Our client is a medium tier engineering consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast Sydney, Melbourne and Overseas. We provide multidisciplinary engineering services for a diverse range of clients in the public and private sectors, including infrastructure, transport, water, mining and buildings. We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join our Brisbane office.

As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing structural design projects from inception to completion
  • Developing and reviewing structural design concepts, calculations, drawings and specifications
  • Coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants and authorities
  • Mentoring and supervising junior and intermediate structural engineers
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our structural design processes and practices


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering design and construction
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, such as ETABS, SAP2000, Strand7 or similar
  • Knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be an active team member and contribute to projects
  • A proactive attitude and a commitment to excellence
