About this role: Structural Design Engineer (Commercial/Industrial)

Our client is a medium tier engineering consultancy with offices in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast Sydney, Melbourne and Overseas. We provide multidisciplinary engineering services for a diverse range of clients in the public and private sectors, including infrastructure, transport, water, mining and buildings. We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join our Brisbane office.
As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing structural design projects from inception to completion
- Developing and reviewing structural design concepts, calculations, drawings and specifications
- Coordinating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, consultants and authorities
- Mentoring and supervising junior and intermediate structural engineers
- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our structural design processes and practices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering design and construction
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software, such as ETABS, SAP2000, Strand7 or similar
- Knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to be an active team member and contribute to projects
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to excellence
