Introduction
Brunel is seeking a Quality Manager for our client in British Columbia. To maintain and improve the organization's quality management system, it is essential for this role to establish and communicate quality standards, policies, and procedures within the organization. Regular audits and inspections should be conducted to monitor compliance with these standards, and any areas for improvement should be identified and addressed through corrective actions as necessary.
Customer focus is also crucial for the Quality Manager, and as such, it is important to act as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns. Working closely with customers to address quality-related issues and provide solutions is key, as is monitoring customer feedback and implementing improvements accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and motivate the QA team, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a culture of quality and accountability within the dept.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality goals are met
- Maintain accurate records of quality-related data, including inspection reports and non-conformity reports.
- Generate regular quality reports for management and customers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and certifications.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
- Drive improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
- Evaluate and select suppliers and vendors based on quality criteria.
- Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Requirements
Requirements
- Degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, or a related field
- Proven experience in quality assurance, quality management
- Proven experience in developing and implementing quality assurance programs for various industrial sectors
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, processes, and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent project management skill
- ISO-9001 certified
