Are you a skilled and hands-on technician with a passion for solving complex pump-related challenges? We are seeking a dedicated Pump Technician to join our dynamic workshop services team. As a Pump Technician, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of pumps used in industrial and commercial applications. If you are enthusiastic about delivering top-notch service and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

  • Pump Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on different types of pumps, including centrifugal, submersible, and positive displacement pumps.
  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify pump issues, malfunctions, and operational inefficiencies, and implement effective solutions to restore optimal functionality.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all repaired and maintained pumps meet or exceed industry standards and comply with safety regulations.
  • Parts and Inventory Management: Assist in managing spare parts inventory and ensure that all required tools and equipment are available for efficient pump servicing.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of pump service activities, including inspection reports, work orders, and any other relevant documentation.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their pump-related concerns, provide technical advice, and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pump maintenance and repair procedures.

Requirements

  • Background working on pumps, mechanical seals and other rotating equipment
  • Strong focus on safety, quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings
  • Fault finding and trouble shooting skills
  • Hold a trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Fitter and Machinist
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in a service-related industry
