About this role: Orchard Manager
Brunel has partnered with a key Australian organisation with a depth of experience in owning, developing, and operating Australian farmland, agriculture infrastructure and other assets. They are currently seeking an experienced Orchard Manager to manage their macadamia orchard operations just outside of Maryborough. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic organisation that are in constant growth phase.
The Role
This role will suit someone with a proven understanding of macadamia orchard requirements.
Responsibilities will include: -• Maximise yields through systematic planning and optimising crop performance
• Oversee farm maintenance and operational efficiency. • Lead, develop, train and develop employees
• Contribute to the development and improvements of farming systems, safety and environmental processes .• Manage maintain and develop farm records for chemicals, spraying, maintenance, irrigation and safety.
• Contribute to a positive and productive working environment.
Requirements
• Experience supervising and managing small teams• Flexible to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills• A positive, can-do attitude.
Benefits
A competitive salary is on offer $95,000 - $105,000. You will be eligible to participate in the company's group salary continuance, group life insurance plan and annual bonus.
