About this role: Operations Manager

  • To plan, direct and control all production, lab, maintenance, planning, product processing operation facilities & equipment to achieve the agreed production targets, meet customer and order requirements & ensure compliance with quality and health, safety & environmental standards to achieve Company Tec’s strategic objectives.

  • Management: Contribute to the development of Company Tec’s corporate strategy and lead strategy development in the areas of production, maintenance & facilities, quality control, health, safety & environment to ensure that Company Tec’s achieves its short- and long-term objectives.
  • Develop and oversee implementation of operations plans, policy, and procedures to ensure that operations are efficiently and effectively executed to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and control the budget for the operation division to ensure that the division has the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.
  • Manage and oversee the production planning, production processes & product storage, maintenance & facilities, quality control & health, safety & environment function to ensure they are aligned to support the business objectives.
  • Maintain coordination with Finance & Administration to ensure Company Tec’s has all the resources required for production within agreed cost, quality standards and schedule.
  • Maintain coordination with technical division to ensure implementation of leading production technology, processes, and quality standards to achieve Company Tec’s objectives.
  • Maintain coordination with sales & Marketing to ensure effective production planning and forecasting and quality to meet customer requirement s and production targets.
  • Lead and oversee the production function to ensure that products of the required standards are available to customers within agreed costs and at the right times.
  • Lead the development of programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives to maintain a safe and healthy working environment at all company sites.
  • Lead all operations staff to ensure they are appropriately motivated, trained and equipped to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.
  • Act as Company Tec’s main advisor on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of the latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position.
  • Budgets and Plans: Develops the functional budget and monitors financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated cost/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and corrective actions are taken.
  • Ensure costs are controlled and prevention of excess expenditures.
  • Operations Group Functional Strategy: Develop functional strategies, goals & objectives while ensuring effective management of resources to maximize the effectiveness & consistency of maintenance practices.
  • Develop and implement effective resource utilization Procedures and Work Instructions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Engineering or 20 year of relevant work Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of polysilicon plant experience along with a minimum of 7 years of management experience.
  • Very good knowledge of plant equipment
  • Excellent knowledge of polysilicon production process
