About this role: NDT Inspector Level III

  • Assist in quality planning and creating SOP’s and all quality documents;
  • To lead the QC teams and coordinate their daily activates to ensure optimum resource planning and fully motivated competent workforce;
  • Monitoring the daily NDT activities;
  • Reviewing & approving of NDT procedures before submitting for client approvals;
  • Evaluating the NDT technicians in regard to qualification and experience prior to client submission;
  • Evaluating the NDT result and signing off the NDT reports;
  • Conducting surprise audits for 3rd party NDT companies;
  • Training the NDT technicians and to lead them for successful completion of applicable NDT methods;
  • To issue non-conformity reports and take corrective action when necessary;
  • Ensure that jobs are carried out efficiently and paperwork is maintained accurately and in accordance with company and legislative standards;
  • Provide a central point of communication for all departments in respect of product quality issues ensuring that all information cascaded to and from the QC team;
  • Actively engage in problem solving and solution finding;
  • Maintain related SOP’s and ensure compliance to official standards and specifications;
  • Complies with labor code and facility rules in managing personnel and constantly strives to improve health and safety;
  • Implements safety and environmental initiatives (communication, process, auditing, etc.);
  • Serves as the safety delegate;
  • Understanding of Company’s General Safety Rules and able to identify safety signs;
  • Knowledge of Company’s General Safety Rules and Safety Instruction in the designate Work Area;
  • Knowledge in safe usage of hand tool;
  • Knowledge in safe usage of Power Tools;
  • Knowledge in Safe operation of Machine;
  • Knowledge in conducting safely Hot Works;
  • Knowledge in handling Hazardous Materials;
  • Knowledge in Electrical safety;
  • Knowledge in Work Permit System;
  • Knowledge in Lock out Tag out System;
  • Knowledge in Fire prevention and management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preference to certifications in, inspection/testing and other related discipline);
  • NDT Level III - UT/MPI;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in seamless pipes is preferred;
  • Experience with UT Phased Array techniques is preferred;
  • Supervisory and training experience;
  • Candidate should possess a strong work ethic;
  • Well knowledge of NDT specifications and inspection;
  • General Computer literacy;
  • Positive attitude;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Ability to mentor and direct the work of others;
  • English required. Arabic and French language are a plus.
