We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Mechanical Technicians with Fixed Plant experience to join our team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of all Ore Processing Facility Equipment. This role requires FIFO from Perth, located in the Pilbara region. We offer competitive compensation, based on your experience level. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide a 8D/6R/7N/7R roster.

About this role

As a Mechanical Technician, your main focus will be on performing repairs and inspections on all power generation assets, prioritizing safety, quality, and efficiency. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety. Experience in a fast-paced environment and excellent communication skills are also essential.

  • Executing routine and major mechanical maintenance activities on all power generation assets according to the maintenance plan
  • Operating and maintaining gas/diesel reciprocating engines and electrical power generation equipment
  • Operating and maintaining all mechanical Balance of Plant equipment
  • Ensuring all work is carried out safely, adhering to weekly plans, and avoiding disruptions to the power supply
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations regarding classified plants, gas fittings, and the environment
  • Following SAP maintenance strategies, planning work, and minimizing reactive maintenance
  • Adhering to site operations procedures and policies


  • Recognized mechanical trade certificate in Australia or Skills Assessment
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Previous maintenance experience in a large mining operation involving fixed plant assets
  • Experience in maintaining wet plant equipment including vacuum belt filters, dewatering drums, concentrate thickeners, centrifugal and multi-stage pumping assets
  • Exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems highly desirable
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to fault find fixed plant assets in high pressure situations
  • Current High Risk Work License endorsed – EWP, Rigging, Dogging, Telehandler, non-slewing crane - Highly desirable
  • Experience in computer-based maintenance systems – SAP desirable
  • Previous experience with Permit, Lock-out and Isolation systems and procedures
  • Full Working Rights in Australia
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
