Control Systems Support Technician

Vacancy number • PUB407201

Brunel are partnering alongside a global system integrator, operator, and logistics service provider to find a Control Systems Support Technician.

About this role

As a Controls System Support Technician, you will become an integral part of our manufacturing operation, where conveyors, lifts, and machinery facilitate the movement of pallets and trays within our automated warehouse. Most of the workforce are operators, so your role will involve fault correction and the oversight of automation systems, akin to babysitting crucial processes.

Think of our control rooms as air traffic control for manufacturing, where IT professionals sit in front of monitors, monitoring systems for faults and alerts, and communicating via two-way radios. You will be collaborating with MIS/MES specialists in the control rooms.

  • Monitoring systems for faults and alerts and communicating via two-way radios.
  • Correct faults and oversee the automation system.
  • Collaborate with MIS/MES specialists in the control rooms.
  • Raising issues through our online ticketing system based in Germany.
  • Managing SQL Database reports.
  • Write scripts and create alerts to ensure seamless operations.

Operating from 5 am to 11 pm with day and afternoon rotations, the schedule offers flexibility with 3 on 4 off or 4 on 3 off arrangements.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective collaboration within a team environment and possess the capability to work autonomously when necessary.
  • Ability to recognize and address potential issues proactively, devising efficient solutions.
  • Can demonstrate proficiency in time management and be adept at prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Must have full working rights in Australia (PR or AUS Citizen).
  • Qualifications or certificates in technology would be highly desirable, (but not a requirement).

Our team is comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds; some hold certifications from TAFE tech, while others lack formal qualifications but possess a strong enthusiasm for technology and gaming. This diverse mix of experiences creates a distinctive pool of expertise within our team.

  • Opportunities for growth and progression (One of our Control Room Technicians has risen to become a world-travelled expert and is now an SME at the national level).
  • Excellent company culture.
  • Flexible working hours
