About this role: Completion Engineer
Our client, a world leading energy company, is looking for a Completion Engineer to join their team based in their Perth office.
The primary objective of the role is to assist with the planning and design of completions for production wells and provide support to the Senior Engineers, Principal Engineer and Completion Engineering Supervisor.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures. At all times, ensure the welfare of personnel and the protection of our assets and the environment.
- Operate according with the Drilling Behaviours and promote same.
- Experience in subsea completion engineering for high-rate gas developments including sand-face completion design, perforating technology and strategies, completion design, completion tubing design and stress analysis, corrosion and erosion evaluation, including appropriate material selection.
- Experience in the selection process and application of completion equipment technology including reliability analysis, well barrier analysis, failure mode analysis, tubing and premium connection design, packer design, SCSSV operation and design, down hole gauge systems, flow control equipment and appropriate equipment qualification and industry codes and standards.
- Experience in subsea completions operations planning and support including development of completion program, operational risk assessments, contingency planning, time and cost analysis.
- Provide input to completion and subsea procedures in compliance with INPEX and industry standards.
- Specify, select, order and accept all materials and services to meet INPEX standards.
- Basic understanding of the basic drilling principles and key completion interfaces and considerations.
- Basic understanding of NOPSEMA regulatory framework and purpose of facility safety case and the well operations management plan.
Requirements
- Tertiary Engineering Qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Completion engineering capabilities: completion design, material selection, sand face completion equipment, downhole flow control devices, completion installation operations including wireline and coil tubing operations.
- Experience in preparing options for completion designs
- Safety management skills
- Working knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ISO, etc.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven teamwork skills
