  • The job holder is accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behavior with regard to HSE rules & requirements and for implementing HSE rules within his area of responsibility.
  • The job holder is accountable for all technical and coordination activities in line with job dimensions during Phase 3.1 project execution from FEED to completion.
  • Subsea CSR will manage all assigned cable lay construction, marine and technical coordination / interfaces as detailed in accountabilities; this covers the full project phases from end of FEED through to transfer to Operations of the project. During the course of the Project execution the job holder will coordinate with Package Lead /team / Ph3.1 team / FEED and EXECUTE contractors and their subcontractors, and any other government body to achieve the project aim and provide guidance and priorities for the performance of their duties.
  • Required to manage a small COMPANY Team while offshore (HSE/QAQC/Surveyor/MWS/Lifting Specialist/ROV Specialist), attend the daily meetings onboard and be the focal point for offshore execution activities, in liaison with the other entities e.g., the T&I Sub-Contractors and the offshore sites (managed by Company Field Operations).

  • To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior with regard to HSSE and to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
  • To liaise and coordinate with other interface engineers, all discipline engineers involved in the management of the project and with contractor personnel handling technical design and interfaces. The job holder shall also make sure that non contractual obligations are properly addressed by EPC contractor.
  • To organize and/or attend technical and marine and construction interface meetings as necessary.
  • To ensure consistence and correct design compliance both under area of responsibility and with other areas during the various phase of EPC detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation and animate dedicated transverse technical, schedule and cost coordination between packages as required to ensure all requirements for EPC activities are complied with.
  • To ensure timely review of documentation by Company interfaces to identify clashes/conflicts.
  • To plan for phase 2 technology [onshore control room etc.] to combine with the other Project elements.
  • To follow-up during FEED and EPCIC phases the progress of studies with HSEQ to ensure issuance of Consent to Construct certificate in due time to allow installation of the onshore cable
  • To advise on technical interfaces with other interfacing parties during end of FEED and EPCIC phases
  • To attend all interface-related meetings, including in particular interface workshops, HAZID / HAZOP meetings, meetings with Contractor(s), etc. in order to ensure the permanent control of the battery limits.
  • To organize, control and follow up process to have all deliverables timely issued by contractors for all interfaces, and to control the quality of these deliverables during FEED and EPCIC phases.
  • To ensure that EPCIC Contractors provide proper reporting of the progress of their interfaces activities and ensure subsequently report on progress of interface management process implementation to Project Manager and refer to him in the event of any deviation or conflict with proposed remedial actions.
  • To avoid change orders and delays caused by interface issues by ensuring timely follow-up of interfaces during FEED and EPCIC phases. To anticipate problems and work together with Contractor(s), Engineering Manager and as a general manner with all discipline Engineers, to propose technical solutions.
  • To liaise with other departments like Drilling & Wells, Reservoir & Geosciences and Field Operations for the management of interface up to their close-out.
  • To liaise with project team and discipline engineers on all interface matters and/or help expedite the development of the design process between Contractors during FEED and EPCIC execution phase.
  • To liaise with the Document Control team to assist consolidation of the technical review records for all project packages.
  • When necessary, participate in monitoring interfaces between different subcontractors of a main EPCIC contractor.
  • To resolve and chase Technical Queries and Derogations Requests in liaison with discipline engineers and Company Technical Reference Persons.
  • To timely report to the package Lead, highlighting progress and areas of concerns encountered in the performance of his duties.
  • To ensure confidentiality of all the documentation produced (whatever its support)
  • To ensure technical coordination between packages and in close coordination with Package Manager and Engineers
  • To Ensure/Close follow-up of COR/TQ/SCN and the like during project execution
  • Ensure readiness for all internal/external audits required (PR, Third parties, Partners)
  • To promote alternatives solutions to reduce and to optimize the duration for offshore installation,
  • To ensure close coordination within team on all engineering, constructability, and operational matters,
  • To setup and manage daily meetings with Subsea construction and T&I sub-Contractor(s), and call specific ad hoc meetings as required,
  • To participate on follow up on the Project progress and risk reporting,
  • To issue timely reply to various correspondences and issue correspondences on company concerns as required,
  • To manage close out of the all the stages of Subsea construction and T&I activities from CFT till completion of the works, including settlement of any claims, transfer and archiving of final documentations and issuance of close out reports,
  • To carry out any other duty or task that may be assigned by hierarchical superiors.
  • Deputize the Package Lead upon request on matters during project execution.
  • Management and execution and Project Close out.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering.
    • At least 10 years’ experience in the offshore oil & gas project with minimum 10 years’ experience as subsea construction manager / T&I Engineer across all facets of O&G subsea scopes for cable lay.
    • Experience of installation, Flowlines, Risers, jackets, decks, and bridges.
    • Experience of similar project during construction phase at yard will be a plus.
    • Experience within a project team: At least 5 years’ experience within large multinational taskforce team environment.
    • Track records of offshore attendance during jackets, decks, and pipelines installation.
    • Available for technical missions worldwide.
    • Familiar with Total General Specifications, Manasa
    • Fluent English.
    • Computer literate.
    • Good leadership and good communication skills.
    • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
    • Good analytical skills.
    • H2S OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings.
    • Professional Experience in Engineering / interface and Project Management (years): 20
    • Large spectrum of skill and competencies in various engineering disciplines coordination and/or in Interface and Project Management, offshore experience is mandatory.
    • A good knowledge of Contractual matters would be necessary, and a good knowledge of Qatar Governmental bodies and Well Head Platforms / Subsea Projects and Operations would be a plus.
