- The Planning specialist purpose and responsibility is to provide schedule development, maintenance, monitor and control of confidential and sensitive schedule and cost related data, schedule and planning evaluation / examination, schedule and cost developmental consolidation, cost reporting and analyzing, monitoring and formulating cost improvement recommendations.
- Maintains effective communication with LNG project teams and departments to resolve issues requiring initiative, flexibility and an ability to influence in order to effectively plan and execute project activities
- Faultless schedule planning and delivery utilizing multi-range schedule and planning software suites; accountable for collecting schedule and cost data from projects within the Major Projects portfolio, development, maintaining and monitoring delivery of Major Projects Integrated schedule/s and planning tools
- Good knowledge and hands on experience conducting schedule risk analysis in Primavera Schedule risk analysis and integrating multiple Project Level 4 and 3 schedules and producing management level 1 and 0 schedules in Primavera P6; accuracy, efficiency, and speed are vital
- Delivery of clearly communicated presentations articulating schedule and cost delivery, forecasts, progress, deficits, and proposed mitigations; develop timely and concise reporting on governance activities and compliance to ensure effective management of activities through the governance processes and timely escalation of any potential concerns
- Responsible for quantifying effects and impacts associated with business changes in the overall schedule for stewardship purposes
- Inform Integration Project Management Team: Division Leads, Heads, Managers and Senior Project Manager of any potential schedule issues and impacts; provide guidance, corrective action, and measures to mitigate adverse trends
- Review and check Major Project's portfolio Contractor's progress reports for progress measurement accuracy; review and endorse schedule and progress baseline and forecast proposed by project/s; analyses schedule and progress trends reported by projects
- Support Integration PMT with project/s schedule and cost progress analysis, reporting and forecasting activities; periodically update different levelled schedules to incorporate
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Exceptional computer literacy skills (Primavera P6(Version 22 and above), Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook, and Power BI (desirable)
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
- Minimum 8 years project executing related experience, 6 years' experience in a Major Projects environment within the oil and gas industry or similar industry experience in a business support / reporting capacity with significant knowledge of large projects, proven demonstrated ability to proactively resolve issues by developing effective solutions independently
- Experience of working with National Oil Companies or International Oil Companies will be an advantage
