Workshop-based opportunity for automotive (LV) mechanics looking to step up and expand their skillset. Working across fleet and drill rigs, you'll gain hands-on experience in diagnostics, rebuilds and hydraulics, with structured training provided to upskill into drill rig maintenance and move into higher-value equipment and projects.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs across LV fleet and drill rigs in a workshop environment
- Perform fault finding, diagnostics and component rebuilds on mechanical systems
- Work across hydraulics, engines and mechanical assemblies with ongoing training provided
- Assist with drill rig maintenance and upgrades as part of upskilling pathway
- Complete inspections, testing and servicing schedules to meet operational requirements
- Maintain accurate job records, service reports and documentation
- Support parts management, stock control and workshop organisation
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety standards and procedures
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and senior fitters to build capability
- Contribute to a clean, efficient and well-run workshop environment
- Trade qualified LV/automotive mechanic or mechanical fitter
- Experience with servicing, fault finding and diagnostics on vehicles
- Strong mechanical aptitude with exposure to engines and basic hydraulics
- Keen to upskill into drill rigs and heavy equipment
- Comfortable working in a workshop environment
- Good attitude and willingness to learn new equipment and systems
- Able to follow safety procedures and workshop processes
- Reliable, motivated and looking for a long-term career upgrade
- Current driver's licence and basic tools
