- Provide specialized technical expertise in the design and analysis of onshore/offshore structures and infrastructures, ensuring alignment with Operations department goals and Company strategy.
- Achieve high-quality, and efficient structural solutions for greenfield and brownfield structures to maintain reliable and safe operation.
- Provide a variety of civil / structural / marine engineering support to contribute to goals including design reviews, specifications review / update, studies, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting.
- Perform economic and financial evaluation of all conceptual studies and prepare design basis, and civil/structural/marine design packages as per LNG specifications and international codes such as BS, API, OCIMF, PIANC, ISGOTT, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, USACE, UBC and Qatar National Construction Standards.
- Provide technical expertise support to Project Team throughout Project Life Cycle (Pre-FEED/FEED/Detail design stages/construction/installation) ensuring quality and flawless execution.
- Coordinate all aspects of civil/structural/marine engineering and provide technical support to operation and maintenance for across LNG onshore/offshore facilities.
- Lead the definition and implementation of integrity program for steel/concrete structures to achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and integrity/availability.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and develop civil/structural detailed drawings and procedures for the department. Support the organization for high-level technical tasks.
- Perform all the necessary complex/high level analysis as per the applicable specification or codes along with computer analysis software e.g. STAAD for onshore and SACS for offshore.
- Provide technical support in all sessions of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), RHAZOP, risk assessment, lifting, excavation certificate, inspection program, etc.
- Liaise with consultants or shareholders, represent LNG to external agencies, conduct technical presentations and support less experienced engineers to develop their capabilities.
- Develop training programs to keep abreast of new technologies and mentor less experienced engineers to develop their capabilities.
- Provide support to Operations Readiness Plan (ORP) process, following up on deliverables, meeting milestone target dates and ensuring proper handover/completion as per Company policy and procedure.
- Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
- 8 years' experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Experience in greenfield and brownfield Civil/Structural for both onshore and offshore facilities.
- Knowledge of relevant International Codes & Standards such as BS, ASCE, ACI, AISC, UBC, API RP, etc.
- Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
- Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
