• This position contributes to the effective operation and maintenance of audiovisual and conferencing technologies, including lecture streaming and media recording, while assisting users through training, technical support, and guidance.
  • Coordinates with end users, providing technical support for lectures, conferences, live broadcasts and internal and external events.
  • Develops, implements and maintains technology in accordance with college requirements.
  • Coordinates with vendors on technical proposals and assesses fitment with user requirements.
  • Assists with projects or new purchase requirements by creating technical documents and assessments to facilitate decision making.
  • Design and produces project documentation, which includes schematics and as-built drawings.
  • Meets with customers to understand technical requirements for upcoming events, and provides appropriate AV solutions, including rigging/de-rigging of AV setup.
  • Develops and maintains custom programs, connectivity schematics, training and technical support for room automation systems.
  • Facilitates AV convergence and troubleshoots technical issues methodically in collaboration with other ITS teams as required.
  • Provides training to end users for technology usage and creates user manuals for end users as required.
  • Customizes existing programming and design of audiovisual systems, room automation system, and teleconference and video conferencing systems to suit new user requirements.
  • Provides technical expertise in capturing, editing and deploying recorded educational material.
  • Keeps abreast of the latest technology in the field of AV.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 5 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Technology Specialist™ (CTS®) certification preferred.
  • Working knowledge and experience with technologies such as PTZ cameras, Camcorder, Panopto for recording and editing purposes.
  • Extensive knowledge and ability to support teams with set up PowerPoint presentations, Zoom and MS Teams.
  • Good communication and customer service skills provide rational support to clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep calm under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of the team.
  • Provides technical AV support for college events both on-site and off-site.
  • Standard business hours with frequent evening, weekend, and early-morning work based operational needs.
