Working closely with senior leadership and operations teams, you will play a key role within the commercial division. This role requires a commercially minded Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being heavily involved from tender through to project handover.
- Identify and source key tender opportunities aligned with business strategy
- Monitor tender portals and submit EOIs
- Prepare and oversee detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
- Develop pricing strategies including margin and risk analysis
- Prepare tender reports, forecasts, exclusions, and clarifications
- Lead commercial negotiations through to project award
- Conduct site inspections and project assessments
- Coordinate with safety teams to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Lead seamless handovers to operations teams and provide ongoing post-award support including variations
- Mentor and review team outputs, driving continuous improvement
- Minimum over 5 years' experience in construction estimating
- Strong background within commercial construction and/or insurance building
- Experience pricing council, aged care, or government-related projects highly regarded
- Proven ability to deliver compliant and successful tenders
- Strong experience with trade pricing, subcontractor comparison, and procurement engagement
- Excellent written communication and proposal preparation skills
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation ability
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
