As a Gantry Crane Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating gantry cranes during a 28-day shutdown at a gold mining site. Your primary focus will be on executing complex lifts, ensuring that compressors and other heavy equipment are moved and positioned with precision and care. This role demands strict adherence to safety protocols and excellent communication with the onsite team to support a successful shutdown operation.

Requirements

  • Proven commitment to workplace health and safety standards
  • Ability to work effectively within a shutdown team under tight schedules
  • Relevant certifications and licences to operate gantry cranes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed lift plans
  • Willingness to fly into Papua New Guinea and reside onsite for the duration of the shutdown
