Equipment Engineer - Fired Equipment / Heat Engineering
Main PurposeThe Equipment Engineer is accountable for the design, development, execution, and evaluation of technical equipment and systems that enable refinery operations.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the design, development, execution, and assessment of technical equipment and systems.

Perform engineering analyses and performance reviews of fired equipment.

Diagnose operational problems and provide escalation support for heaters, boilers, and flares.

Support turnaround planning and contribute to long-term equipment strategies.

Propose enhancements to equipment design, development workflows, and operating practices.

Handle complex assignments with a high level of autonomy, innovation, and sound technical judgment.

Act as a representative of the local team both internally and externally when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3+ years of experience working with fired equipment (e.g., heaters, boilers, flares).
- Experience in operations and project execution.
- Skilled in fired equipment simulation tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Solid knowledge of core engineering principles, methods, and standards.
- Capability to foresee and resolve issues by applying cross-functional expertise.
- Proven initiative with the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead and deliver projects through to completion.
