- Draft, review, and negotiate a range of agreements: domestic and cross-border wind turbine supply, installation, service and maintenance, logistics, procurement, vendor, contractor, and confidentiality agreements
- Support the build-out of company policies, governance processes, and internal controls
- Advise on litigation, arbitration, mediation, and other disputes, including managing external counsel
- Lead legal due diligence, flag risk areas, and support transaction structuring and closings
- Track legal and regulatory developments (trade, ethics, compliance) and turn them into practical guidance for the business
- Take on special projects as they come up
What You'll Need
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Illinois
- At least 5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally with meaningful transactional work in-house, at a firm, or both
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to give clear, practical, risk-based advice
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities independently in a fast-moving environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the judgment to work across legal and non-legal teams
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Able to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Nice to Have
- Experience drafting and negotiating wind turbine supply, installation, or service agreements
- Background in dispute resolution, internal investigations, or compliance matters
- Exposure to cross-border transactions, international trade, or ethics and compliance frameworks
