We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Atherton, Queensland.

Reporting to the site leadership team, the Safety Officer will play a key role in supporting and driving workplace health and safety initiatives across our Atherton operations. This is a hands-on roving role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operational teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of WHS systems and procedures

  • Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits

  • Investigate incidents and near misses, and support corrective actions

  • Assist with injury management, return-to-work and workers' compensation processes

  • Deliver safety training

  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes of practice and company standards

  • Provide practical safety advice to leaders and employees on site

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across health and safety

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher qualification)

  • Previous experience in a safety role, ideally within agriculture, manufacturing, logistics or a similar operational environment

  • Sound knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to influence safe behaviours at all levels of the organisation

  • Proactive, organised and comfortable working in a hands-on role

  • Competent with reporting systems and Microsoft Office applications
