We're seeking a Field Service Technician to install, commission and maintain collision avoidance technology across Australia's leading mining operations. Whether you have mining experience or are an Auto Electrician looking to enter the industry, this role offers hands-on work, varied FIFO rosters and exposure to Tier 1 mine sites.

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for installing, commissioning and maintaining advanced collision avoidance systems on heavy mining equipment across Australia. Working on a range of projects and mine sites, you'll play a key role in ensuring equipment is operating safely and reliably while representing the business on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission collision avoidance systems on heavy mining equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and electronic faults.
  • Conduct site inspections and pre-installation scoping.
  • Complete system testing and commissioning activities.
  • Provide technical support to customers and site personnel.
  • Deliver operator and maintenance training where required.
  • Coordinate installation activities with site teams and subcontractors.
  • Complete service reports and project documentation.
  • Conduct installation quality inspections.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
  • Travel to mine sites across Australia, with occasional international travel opportunities.

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is happy spending time on site.

Essential

  • Previous mining experience or an Auto Electrical trade looking to transition into mining.
  • Strong electrical or electronic fault-finding skills.
  • Experience working on mobile equipment or field-based technology.
  • Flexible and willing to work a variety of FIFO rosters and swing lengths.
  • Able to work independently in remote site environments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
