We are partnering with a leading tier-one mining business to recruit an experienced Environmental Advisor for a long-term contract within its Environment, Nature and Science team.

Based in Perth, this role will support the delivery of flora and vegetation studies across major mining operations and projects, providing support across related environmental disciplines, including terrestrial fauna, short-range endemic species, and subterranean fauna

  • Support the delivery of flora and vegetation studies
  • Prepare environmental scopes of work
  • Coordinate environmental surveys and field programs
  • Review technical reports, survey findings and environmental datasets
  • Liaise with environmental consultants and internal stakeholders
  • Support the preparation of environmental approvals and compliance documentation
  • Ensure work is delivered in line with environmental legislation, approval requirements and company standards
  • Provide support across other environmental study areas as required
  • Occasional travel to remote Pilbara sites and participation in fieldwork may be required.
  • A minimum of five years' resource-sector experience in botany
  • Proven experience undertaking flora and vegetation assessments and monitoring in the Pilbara
  • Strong knowledge of Pilbara botany
  • Experience preparing and reviewing technical environmental reports
  • Knowledge of Western Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation and approvals processes
  • An understanding of flora and vegetation survey methodologies
  • Experience using GIS software
  • Strong organisation, coordination and stakeholder-management skills
  • A tertiary qualification in Environmental Biology, Environmental Science or a related discipline
  • A current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to meet site-access and safety requirements are essential.
